Although these rapids are rather easy to pass if you have a bit of kayak experience, danger lurks under water. There are a lot of rocks under water with sharp edges. Because it's part of a commercial kayak route, every year people topple their kayaks and sometimes get seriously hurt. So have fun, but be safe!
The pictures above are all the same rapids near Maasmechelen. Maybe a bit difficult comparing these because the angle is different but the in the last two pictures these exciting rapids are changed in kayak busting nightmares. In the last picture there is a kayak stuck on the rocks. The people piloting these luckily got out without serious injuries.
